How the practice works.
Daniel Hochman focuses his practice on flat-fee attorney demand letters for New Yorkers owed money: tenants, workers and freelancers, small businesses, consumers, and people who need someone to stop: delivered through DemandLetterNY, a service of the firm. Every letter cites the New York statute that applies, states the number, sets a deadline, and carries his signature on firm letterhead. Certified mail within 48 hours.
The structure is the strategy. Clients deal with the attorney, not a case manager. Eligibility is screened before payment. When a letter doesn't resolve the matter, the next step: a follow-up, a settlement agreement, a small-claims kit, a written case assessment, or representation: is a fixed price you see before you decide. The firm also litigates injury and employment matters under a written retainer; those pages live in the menu.

Do you charge for the first call?
